Setting up Poole Town Council
Poole Town Council is a new town council for Poole. David Mears has been appointed as the Town Clerk (Chief Officer of the Council) to over the set-up and manage the day to day activities of the Council.
Elections
Town councillors will be elected with elections being held on 7 May.
Vesting day
Vesting day is when the Town Council legally takes on its role. Vesting day was 1 April 2026.
Services during the set up period
During the set up period, some services will continue to be delivered by BCP. The Town Council is in the process of setting up a new website and other processes to work with the community.
